The PSS EVO-X carbon steering wheel is a custom-finished steering wheel variant based on an original Audi steering wheel. It is suitable for models of the Audi C8 platform and combines a sporty design with near-OEM functionality.

Digital steering wheel buttons – more functions, fewer steps

Depending on the equipment, you can control the following directly from the steering wheel using the integrated PSS Digital Buttons:

• Ignition on/off or engine start/stop
• Switching Audi Drive Select modes
• Ambient lighting: Adjust the color
• Adjust ventilation intensity
• Change temperature
• Lane Assist on/off
• (After prior configuration) Switch speedometer view
  – e.g. from Sport to Dynamic or S/RS Performance

This brings functions to the steering wheel that are otherwise only accessible via MMI or center console – faster, more intuitive, driving-focused.

Design & Appearance

The steering wheel receives our PSS EVO-X shape with a more pronounced, sportily modeled rim, defined grip recesses and dynamic lines.

Material & design highlights:

• Steering wheel rim top & bottom: matte real carbon fiber, hand-laminated and multi-layered clear sealed

• 12 o’clock marker: painted in matte Ipanema Brown, perfectly matched to the car color, absolutely smooth & imperceptible

• Add-on parts: formerly silver elements (bar, button surrounds, airbag frame) painted in black for a harmonious OEM+ finish

• Paddle shifters: in an Urus-inspired design, in matte carbon, with “+ / -” markings in Ipanema brown

• Side grip areas: high-quality Alcantara for optimal grip and sporty feel, with matching stitching.

All surfaces – carbon fiber, paint, and colored accents – undergo a complex clear-sealing process, offering increased resistance to abrasion and everyday use. However, normal signs of wear and tear cannot be completely ruled out with regular use.

Haptics & Function

The Alcantara side panels ensure maximum control and a secure grip. The integrated steering wheel heating remains functional in the corresponding zones (depending on the vehicle’s equipment).
The factory-installed lane keeping assist/hands-on detection also remains fully functional, provided the original electronics are correctly transferred.

Since the equipment varies depending on the year of manufacture and model, an individual compatibility check (VIN, photos, part numbers) is carried out before ordering.

Scope of delivery

Not included:

• Airbag

• Electronic components (buttons, control units, sensors)

These parts are taken from the original steering wheel during installation. Installation should only be carried out by qualified specialists – especially due to the airbag and safety systems.
